Documents Required for Payment Gateway Integration – TechDost


Hi, if you are planning to start an online shopping website, you need to have payment gateway on your website. So, I am sharing a list of documents you needed to get your payment gateway account approved.

Payment Gateway Companies:

  1. cCavenue (recommended)
  2. PayUmoney
  3. PayTm
  4. PayPal
  5. Escrow

All the companies required the same documents for any type of website or Android app integration.

Type of Documents

Companies required both types of documents:

  1. Soft copy (by email)
  2. Hard copy (by post)

1. Private Limited Company

If you own a Private Limited Company (Pvt Ltd), you need to have the following documents:

  1. GST Certificate
    • You must have a GST certificate with the name of your Pvt Ltd company. Your CA will help you to get this certificate from the Govt of India.
  2. Address Proof
    • You must have an address proof to validate your registered address. You can submit on of the electricity bill, telephone bill, house tax invoice.
  3. PAN Number (Personal)
    • One of the director’s Pan required.
  4. PAN Number (Company)
    • You must have a PAN card with the name of your Pvt Ltd company. Your CA (chartered accountant) will help you to get this certificate from the Govt of India.
  5. Canceled Cheque
    • A canceled cheque from the company’s current account on which account number and IFSC code are mentioned.
  6. TAN Number (optional)
  7. CIN Number (optional)
  8. Signature (director)
    • At least one director of the company has to submit his sign in softcopy.
  9. Stamp (company):
    • A stamp with the name of the company needed to put a stamp on each document.
  10. Agreement
    • Payment gateway company will provide you an agreement with all your details and you need to check your business details and re-submit with a stamp and your sign.

2. Partnership Firm

If you own a partnership firm, you need to have the following documents:

  1. GST Certificate
    • You must have a GST certificate with the name of your partnership firm. Your CA will help you to get this certificate from the Govt of India.
  2. Address Proof
    • You must have an address proof to validate your registered address. You can submit one of the electricity bill, telephone bill, house tax invoice.
  3. PAN Number (Personal)
    • One of the director’s Pan required.
  4. Canceled Cheque
    • A canceled cheque from the firm’s current account on which account number and IFSC code are mentioned.
  5. Signature (director)
    • At least one director of the company has to submit his sign in softcopy.
  6. Stamp (company):
    • A stamp with the name of the company needed to put a stamp on each document.
